Creating interactive experiences with sensor technology
Our environments are becoming increasingly connected, often in ways that are invisible. The adoption of these new technologies can be a challenge for some, and second nature for others. Yet, without even noticing, countless sensors are already present in our daily lives: a hallway light that turns on automatically as you pass by, a screen that activates to provide information when you touch a product. These subtle details transform every interaction into a smooth, intuitive, and memorable experience.

Sensors may sometimes seem like an abstract concept, but once integrated into our daily lives, we wonder how we ever managed without them. In public spaces, they are already everywhere: automatic faucets, smart lighting… What if you could take this experience further and provide your visitors with precise, targeted, and modern information?

You have reserved a meeting room, but the meeting is canceled at the last minute and you forget to release the room in the software. No problem: thanks to the presence detectors, the room detects that it is not occupied, even though it still appears as reserved in the system, and is automatically reset to “free” status.
The same principle applies to workspaces in flexible office spaces: when a desk is not in use, it is automatically made available again.
Passive sensors - NFC
Passive sensors are easy to install and are used to interact with workspaces for desk reservations. Using NFC stickers and the booking app on their smartphone, users can scan the desk and check in, reserve, extend, or release it.
You can install as many NFC stickers as you have workspaces and configure them directly via your platform.
Sensors and roombooking
The sensors can be installed in meeting rooms, consultation areas, booths, and similar spaces. When movement is detected within their range, they send a signal to the platform, which then marks the space as “occupied.”
If no movement is detected for a certain period of time, the sensors recognize that the space is no longer in use and inform the platform, which automatically releases the space for other users to reserve.
Sensors and desk booking
A discreet sensor is placed under a desk and automatically detects movement or body heat. When someone uses the desk, the sensor sends a signal to the platform to mark the desk as “occupied.”
If the desk remains unoccupied for a certain period of time, the sensor commands the platform to release the workspace again.
